The great: The biryani, lamb chops and Bihari kabab were out of this world! I love the unique chilis they used rather than traditional thai green or red chillies and it inspired me to experiment with my own biryani at home using dried arbol. :-) I’d come back for these menu items alone again and again. The good: The service staff was very lovely despite it being late at night, they were very attentive, respectful and brought a lovely energy. One of the servers asked me if she wanted her to teach me how to eat pani puri I laughed a little on the inside because I grew up eating them in Pakistan but I absolutely was so heart warmed by how excited she was to share the experience with patrons like that — no doubt any non-Pakistani people coming in really appreciate that! One note on the pani puri water and mixture is that both could use more acid and heat as well as other spices that are usually present. The bad: The naan and roti were…not great. And by not great I mean that the naan was brittle and the roti for some reason was a lot more dense and cake like than is traditional. Came here all the way back during the grand opening around 2019 and it’s amazing to see how much Khan Saab has grown since then. This place continues to live up to the hype and there’s a reason it has been Michelin recognized with Bib Gourmand honors for multiple years. The food, ambience, hospitality, and overall experience are all top tier. The restaurant has a beautiful upscale atmosphere with low lighting that makes it perfect for a date night, special occasion, or even a nice dinner with family and friends. Service here is always welcoming and attentive. The staff genuinely makes you feel taken care of from the moment you walk in. There’s parking available in the garage nearby and street parking as well, which makes visiting Downtown Fullerton pretty convenient. The menu is one of the most unique halal dining experiences in Orange County because it blends Pakistani, Indian, Afghan, and American fusion flavors together in such a creative way. Everything is packed with flavor and beautifully plated. Their beef kebabs, chicken karahi, biryani, butter chicken, wagyu options, steaks, and street food inspired appetizers are all incredibly rich and satisfying. You can really taste

Went to khan Saab last night. Was a great overall experience. The hosts were very nice. We got the smoked kebab and butter chicken with garlic naan. Naans were very fresh, butter chicken was very tasty and kebabs might've been the best thing we had there. Pani puri was bit lackluster tasting outside of the presentation it's tastes similar to regular pani puri which is fine but it's supposed to be elevated and didn't feel that. I'd try a different appetizer next time. We also got the chai which was fine but it might've been easier to hold if it was in a clay cup or something not glass, was too hot to hold the chai. The ambiance was good, interior decor was nice. On the more fancy side so dress up nicely and be prepared to pay for fancy dinner as well, could easily be $30 a head at least. Overall I love that we have halal options like this available to us in socal and would definitely encourage everyone to try it at least once. Will be back later.

Visited Khan Saab Desi Craft Kitchen recently and overall the food quality was really good—flavorful, fresh, and well-prepared. You can tell they put effort into the taste and presentation. That said, the pricing felt quite high for the portion sizes. While the dishes tasted great, the quantity didn’t really match the cost, which was a bit disappointing. Still a good spot if you’re looking for quality desi food, just be prepared for smaller portions at a higher price point.

I made a reservation in the morning for the same night just in case. I don't know if reservations are required. I randomly came across this restaurant while browsing Google Maps, and I didn't know they were recognized by Michelin until I saw the awards inside. The restaurant entrance is next to the parking structure, not the one facing the street. I had high expectations before I chowed down. The service was great. The server had his recommendations prepared. Drinks (no alcohol served here): $11 Falsatini - I thought this was a play on "false", like fake, cocktail. But falsa is just a berry found in India. This drink is like a smoothie served in a salt-rimmed glass. Tower of Peshwar - refreshing cucumber and basil Appetizers: Kulcha $14 - this was fun to try. The tomato sauce was my favorite thing in the ENTIRE meal. That's saying something. Sloppy khan $14 - We got two sliders in one order. The meet was so flavorful/spiced that it tasted almost like lamb to me. Mains: Afghani Seekh kabob $21 - This was the dish I was looking forward to the most, but it ended up being my least favorite. I did not like the texture at all. I regretted not ordering curry. Sides: Malai naan $6 -
